The faded signs painted on the brick wall here read: "The Monster ready made and bespoke clothing establishment" and "Albion House Clothing Company - Branch Establishments Paris Antwerp and Ghent". The building in question, on the east side of the High Street just south of Newcomen Street, is now St Christopher's Inn (a student hostel).
