Lockington church is an impressive building for such a small village. The earliest feature of the church is the 12th century north doorway. The nave and chancel are 13th century with some 14th century windows (there is a large quantity of late Medieval glass still in place). The aisle on this south side was widened in the early 14th century and the north side was widened a little later. The tower is 15th century and the clerestory (second storey) was added in the late 15th century. The south porch on the left was totally rebuilt in 1946.
