Followed in the opposite direction, the lane is a public bridleway leading to the former Wayland Hospital and the B1077 road, further to the east. This section, to the west of Long Street, is a farm track which used to lead to a house that is still marked on OS maps but has long since been demolished. The track stops abruptly on the edge of a field.
