Inside Dog Holes cave

The remains of 15 humans have been found in this cave along with those of animals, some now extinct. It is thought that the cave was occupied during the 'Bronze' Age. The bones include those of red deer, dog, sheep, pig, goat, reindeer, urus and Irish elk. Also found were bones of wolves, Siberian voles and Arctic lemmings. On reaching the 'Bone Chamber' part of the cave I was thankful to find it empty.
