I don't know the history of these two semi-detached dwellings but they are typical of the 'captain's houses' built by retired mariners with plenty of money to spend on comfortable homes for their retirement from seagoing. They stand beside the back road that leads into the Brynhenllan area of Dinas village from the west. They have retained their traditional sash windows and also have the quartz-decorated garden walls so frequently seen around here.
