The National Piping Centre promotes the study and history of piping in Scotland (music NOT plumbing). The building is the beautifully restored Old Cowcaddens Church, built in 1872, and located on Cowcaddens at the top of Hope Street. It is close to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, the Theatre Royal (home of Scottish Opera), STV studios, Glasgow Caledonian University and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
