The houses in the background are in Whitemoor Road. The large building on the corner of the two roads is Bridge Works, a series of workshop units which house a window manufacturing firm, a carpet showroom and a garage. The building on the extreme left of the photo is the head office of City Electrical Factors, the UK's largest electrical wholesalers.
