New Flyover, A270

Built as a by product of the new football stadium at Falmer that also solves the gridlock caused by the University of Sussex only having one exit road. There will be two lanes coming off the A27 westbound onto the A270; that taking the flyover avoids the traffic lights for those wishing to head further into the city, whilst that following the current slip road is designed to be used by those wishing access to Stanmer Park, the University of Sussex, or the new access road for the car park for Falmer School or football parking. From 2013 it will also be used for those wishing to visit The Keep, the new East Sussex record office about to built nearby. Beyond the flyover the bus is using the access road to get onto the A27 eastbound though from January those specifically for the University of Sussex will turn into the new access road onto campus which follows the current route into Stanmer Park but has a new edition from the Lower Lodges. The junction was due to start operating on the 13th December but has been put back due to the snow, however, the traffic lights are up and running to the confusion of some at the moment.
