Step stile to footpath from Raby Castle

The stile is a set of stone steps leading up to a gap in the stone wall. It is just by the North Lodge entrance gates to the castle. The public footpath runs along inside the estate wall for over 100 yards, then strikes uphill across pasture. The walk makes a good family outing.
