Order restored after clearing an accident on the bridge over Long Lane (exactly the same spot as an accident in similar conditions 364 days ago), a Metropolitan Police BMW leads the queue of traffic away at a safe speed for the conditions on the A406. Traffic in both directions is badly affected by the snow and not a single TfL gritter lorry was in sight for this snowfall that was being forecast on weather websites a good 4 hours before the event.
