Strawberry Hill House

This is the newly restored northern part of the house which is now open to the public. Commissioned by Horace Walpole (the son of Sir Robert Walpole, the first Prime Minister), it dates from the mid-C18 and represents the Gothic Revival style of architecture which was beginning to find favour at the time.
