Station Road, Warwick Road and The Square meet at this point. Until 2008 Station Road was two-way but it was changed to a one way street as part of the extensive road changes which accompanied the construction of the new Waitrose store. The building on the left, the former Kings Arms, was refurbished in 2007 to provide apartments on the upper floors and three separate restaurants on the ground floor, two of which are visible here - Zizzi which has an entrance on The Square to the left, and 'She' which occupies the stone fronted building in the background - which can be seen in more detail in Stephen McKay's photo Image] Recently Heritage Estate Agents have taken over the lettings business of Newey Property and their purple sign can be seen on the side wall.
