Outside the Turk's Head. A nylon net almost completely obscures the topmost iron mooring post The building is a former Coastguard boathouse and was converted into the island's first pub for many years in around 1972 or 3. During my first independent (i.e. without parents) holiday on St Agnes in 1977 my companion and I visited this establishment some 26 times during our 13 day stay! A lot of the evenings were spent sat on this step counting the satellites and meteors passing overhead. There are a few pictures of the reverse view of this on the site, the most recent of which is this one from Richard Croft: Image
