This red brick building, with stone dressings, was built on Bolton Road by Sir Thomas Barlow and his brothers and sisters in 1909 as a memorial to their parents. It has a recreational/cricket field (Image]) and bowling green (Image]) and in its early days had an open-air swimming pool. There is a small park behind the Institute. http://northturton.com/edgworth/Barlow_Institute.html and http://www.northturton.com/edgworth/edg_01.html for more information.
