Whitchurch. View from the former level crossing on the disused Whitchurch to Chester branch line. The line was opened by LNWR in 1872, closed to passenger traffic in 1957 and to freight in 1963. A footpath still crosses here on its way from the Shropshire Union Canal to the northern end of Whitchurch.
