Melverley Farm has always been farmed using traditional methods, and the farm retains traditional field boundaries: wide and irregular hedgerows including frequent mature broad-leaved trees (here an oak) surrounding flat-bottomed ditches, populated with horsetails (green band) and wildflowers (purple band)
