Looking west from the churchyard. Many villages in the area are largely stone-built, some - like Harlaxton and Manthorpe - mainly red-brick. Here, in the older part of Hough, stone and brick-built houses stand alongside one another. The pub at the corner is the 'Brownlow Arms'.
