This plant started in 1962 and has produced over 4,000,000 vehicles! The Vauxhall models made here include the Viva, Chevette, Vectra and all five generations of the Astra. Apparently, they employ 3500 local workers and make nearly 185,000 vehicles a year, half of which are exported. The site is enormous, covering about one kilometre square.
