The footbridge over the Eden

This footbridge is attached to the side of the railway viaduct which was built 1831-4. Walking across is not for the faint-hearted. Seeing the River Eden 100 feet or so below through the gaps between the boards can be a disconcerting experience. To cross when it is windy must be terrifying !
