A Trans-Pennine Express Barrow - Manchester Airport service. The train has been terminated at Arnside due to engineering works, and is about to return to Barrow. The class 185 3-car diesel multiple units were introduced from 2005, and cover routes in the north of England, venturing as far as Glasgow and Edinburgh. They were built by Siemens and have hydraulic transmission, which now seems to be favoured for under-floor drive mechanisms.
