This is one of a series of photos of signposts from Eileen's collection which date from sometime in the mid-1950's. With this photo I know exactly the location as a replica is still there and is illustrated in David Stowell's 2006 photo Image David provides the full history, but suffice to say that this is the sign erected in 1930 and replaced by the replica in 1961. If you compare the two signs you will see that there are in fact a few small differences.
