The Belfast and County Down Railway line from Belfast to Donaghadee closed in 1950. 56 years later parts of the line are still discernible. In this stretch, about 2 miles from Donaghadee, part has been levelled for commercial use. The remainder is still reasonably intact with the trees in the middle left growing on the old trackbed.
