King George V reigned from 1910 to 1936, so this postbox was probably placed here during that period. The cipher used on postboxes in his reign was very plain, and without a roman numeral, unlike those of Edward VII and George VI. At the bottom (black area) of this box, the manufacturer's name etc is given: McCowall, Steven & Co., London & Falkirk. Postbox number: B61 563. Post code: B61 7**. Last collection: 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 12 noon Saturday.
