Pubs called the Turks Head or the Saracens Head are not uncommon, and seem to be a reference to the Crusades of the early medieval period. This pub is nowhere near as old as the times of the Crusades, so it's not clear why it got its name, unless perhaps there was an earlier pub of that name on or near the present site. Image Image
