Non-intervention Area in Pound Wood

The south-eastern corner of Pound Wood is designated as non-intervention, meaning that it will not be subject to coppice management. The fallen tree here is a very old coppiced Hornbeam that came down in the 1987 storm. In the centre is another very old coppice stool, probably 60-100 years since it was coppiced.
