Located on the corner of Victoria Street and Oldbury Road. Pia began in 1985 as a typesetting co-operative. Its main speciality now is the provision of information in a form accessible by the visually impaired. Their braille transcription service is produced in Contracted (Grade 2) or Uncontracted (Grade 1) British and Welsh braille and uses braille technical codes, such as those for mathematics and science. Other products include large print and audio. Their tactile diagrams, maps and pictures give blind and partially sighted people access to visual graphical information.
