Cottage in Jim Crow Square, set back from The Highway near the Woodland Road/Turnpike Road junction. I don't know who Jim Crow was, but he appears to have been of some importance locally : Jim Crow's Wood is adjacent to Croesyceiliog School. What is certain is that there is no connection with the Jim Crow laws which enforced racial segregation in some parts of the USA between 1876 and 1965.
