Ernest Gimson (1864-1920) was better known as a furniture designer than as an architect. Three cottages built to his designs are said to survive in this grid-square. I searched for Stoneywell Cottage, the best known and most often illustrated, but it stands in a wood out of sight of the road. Rockyfield is said to have been completed in 1908. See Pevsner's 'The Buildings of England: Leicestershire and Rutland'.
