The well-respected pub reviewer and beer writer Arthur Taylor gave this pub an excellent review in the 'Daily Telegraph'. Lunchtime opening only occurs on Saturday and Sunday: Fridays it opens at 2 pm, Monday to Thursday at 5 pm. Real ale is always available. The pub is signposted off Todmorden Road.
