This pub closed around April/May 2010, but months later the owners are still seeking a new tenant. The pub had a good reputation for live music, but unfortunately in the period before closing, there were increasing complaints of beer that was off, and general grubbiness. In today's climate, no pub is going to survive if it gains that reputation. It has to be said that not everyone was of that opinion, and a vigorous campaign against the closure was conducted via Facebook and email, but it did not succeed in preventing the pub closing. Image Image Update: By December 2010 the pub had re-opened. See:- Image
