These dwellings situated near the corner of Norman Road and Mercatoria are the former Lavatoria. Whereas Mercatoria was purpose-built for small shopkeepers, Lavatoria was intended for those who offered laundry services for the inhabitants of the grander houses on Marina and around St Leonards Park.
