The West Swindon Centre started life around a large branch of the French retailer Carrefour in the 1970s. They retreated back across the English Channel some years ago and ASDA took over. In addition to the main store there are other smaller shops including a motor parts shop, newsagents, a shoe shop and branches of banks and estate agents. The main attraction for me is a fine example of the McDonald's chain of highly-successful fast food outlets, visible in this image to the right.
