The tow path on this section of the canal is a cycle path with special gates to allow pedestrians and cycles through. However the main gate, just out of shot on the right, was open, negating the whole arrangement. I did wonder what would happen if a horse drawn narrowboat comes along, and the main gate is shut? Perhaps they issue special keys? The bridge in the background is carrying Timothy's Bridge Road over the canal, and is just in Image
