View southward from Easton Road Bridge, Lawrence Hill station being beyond the bridge carrying the ex-Midland main line out of Temple Meads to Mangotsfield - on which passenger services ceased on 7/3/66 (goods on 3/1/70). The express northbound on the Up Fast ex-Great Western line is a Summer Saturday relief from Paignton to Kidsgrove (Staffs.), headed by Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 No. 45301 that will have taken over the train at St Philip's Marsh on the Bristol Relief Line and is climbing up via Filton Junction and Stoke Gifford (now Bristol Parkway) to regain the Midland route at Yate.
