Old Basford: 1832 Reform Act Memorial

This is one of the few stones left in the former cemetery. The plaque reads: "This memorial was erected by Thomas Bailey, the historian, in the grounds below (opposite this cemetery) to commemorate the passing of the Reform Act, AD 1832: & was removed here to mark the resting place of his much esteemed & valued friend". The terraced houses in the background are on Marlow Avenue.
