Chailey Windmill is a surrounded by the 'common' and can be seen for miles around. It is reputed to mark the centre of the old county of Sussex. Now it is kept alive by supporters and there is a small museum devoted to rural life that is open on Sunday afternoons in the warmer months - but check it's open before visiting !
