This is the power house complex. The nearest boarded up narrow archway is a room containing a Worthington type duplex pump that was used for sanitary water pumping. The next bay is the engine room that houses a 4 cylinder W H Allen diesel driving a dynamo, a George Mills of Radcliffe horizontal duplex rotative steam fire pump and W H Allen condensing steam turbine driving a dynamo. The two bays beyond are for the boiler house with three Lancashire boilers and a package boiler. I believe this is all pretty derelict. The chimney is rather fine.
