Gyllyngdune Gardens were originally created and opened in 1907. A £900,000 Lottery grant was awarded in 2009 to renovate the gardens (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cornwall/content/articles/2009/04/15/gardens_places_feature.shtml ). Outside the Princess Pavilion (which was added in 1910), is the bandstand. The gardens here are ornamental and formal. (The Pavilion is the building behind the gardens on the right hand side of the picture).
