The public footpath, which also carries the 156 km St Oswald's Way (from Lindisfarne on Holy Island to Heavenfield near Hexham) formerly ran immediately to the left of the house on the right. The house to the left is new and the path has been diverted round it to the left. The Ross Links peninsula can be seen on the far side of the bay.
