The area of St. John's dates back to medieval times, and was incorporated into the city of Worcester in 1837. Today it is regarded as one of the more desirable parts of the city to live in. There is indeed much very attractive housing in the area, but some of the compact business area is looking a bit run down. However this bank looks very smart, and sets an example to some of the other businesses here. It is helped by the fact that the building is a late Georgian stuccoed villa, with a Doric porch.
