As small children have been trying to see how far they can climb up the torus, one wonders how long it will be before "Health and Safety" considerations result in the sculpture's being fenced in, or perhaps spiked collars will be installed to prevent climbing. A different type of danger can be seen at the very top of the torus. A seagull is perched there, and the metal beneath it is abundantly coated with droppings. Presumably some of this falls off, to the discomfiture of anyone beneath.
