Much-photographed already, this is the only one on Geograph where, if the full-size version is downloaded, the fighter and bomber squadrons in which Polish airmen served in the second world war can be read. Polish squadrons served in just about every theatre of war that Britain was involved in during that conflict with the possible exception of the Far East.
