This housing block at 21 Marksbury Avenue on the corner of Chilton Road is built on the site of St Peter's mission church, which was built around 1910 and used as a church until the nearby church of St Philip & All Saints Image was opened in 1929. The old church was sold to the Roman Catholics in 1966 who used it as a church hall until it was demolished c.1990. A passer-by who remembered the church has kindly sent me a photo of it (but of course I can't upload that, not having the copyright).
