The Acton Arms is on Haughton Lane, which here forms part of the A458 road between Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock. The pub has a restaurant and beer garden. The building dates from the 18th century. In the 1970's, the then landlady claimed that a ghost was seen at least once a day. It was suggested that the ghost might be that of Richard Manners, who was Prior of Morville Priory at the time of the dissolution of the monasteries. Image
