The First Capital Connect service is composed of unit 319 215 leading and 319 427 trailing. The leading unit is still in the basic livery of its former operator, Southern, although branded First Capital Connect. The train is on the down fast line, but had been held at the signal at the left for a few minutes, not unusual outside Gatwick.
