St Andrew's church > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1957835 dates from the 13th century and is the only Norwich church with a thatched roof. While its north side looks very much conventional, a modern extension > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1957846 consisting of three pointed prows with angled glass curtains has been added onto the south side, making the churchyard on this side considerably smaller and the church very difficult to photograph. The old part of the church was extensively restored in the 19th century. It houses the original baptismal font > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1957870 and a 14th century wall painting > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1957863 can be seen above the arch of the south doorway which leads into the new extension. The stained glass > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1957865 dates from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
