If you removed your blindfold here, you could be forgiven for thinking that you had suddenly found yourself somewhere in London. The street has a character of its own which seems untypical of Edinburgh. This is the western half of the street, containing many small shops such as an estate agent's, a Chinese restaurant and a hairdresser.
