The distinctly intrusive yellow lines on all the lanes locally are presumably intended to prevent visitors to Brereton Heath country park avoiding the car park there which - no surprise - imposes a charge. As can be seen, failure to maintain the lines has made them legally invalid, merely leaving an eyesore. Perhaps the money spent on paint might have been more productively used to expand the car park and/or make it free?
