The back of the church seen from the platforms of Solihull Station. The present building in Blossomfield Road dates from 1937, replacing the Old School Chapel of 1905 at the corner of Streetsbrook Road. Previously Methodist worship had taken place from 1883 in the Public Hall in Poplar Road (later the Council House, and now Image) and at Blossomfield Farm. The first Methodists in Solihull were persecuted by the established church, an 18th-century churchwardens' account recording the outlay of 6d (2.5p) "spent searching the town for a supposed Methodist".
