An inscription on the wall reads as follows.... 'The Wilkins Charity Coln St Aldwyn. These almshouses are maintained for the benefit of the poor of this parish by a legacy left by Edmund James Wilkins who died 6th August 1916' One would guess that the almshouses have now become a single private dwelling as one doorway has been blocked in and the exterior is one garden.
